POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
Before participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
STRACKALINE YARDAGE BOOK:
The SCGA and StrackaLine have teamed up to allow our participants the availability to purchase StrackaLine Yardage & Green booklets at a 20% discount. Please click HERE to purchase your StrackaLine Booklet for Soule Park GC. All booklets conform to the Rules of Golf and may be used in tournament play.
FORMAT:
- 54-hole stroke play championship
- 84 players will play 18-holes each day on Monday, June 3 & Tuesday, June 4.
- Cut to the low 30 scores and ties for the final 18-holes on Wednesday, June 5.
- Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place. In the event of a tie for first place, there will be a three-hole aggregate playoff immediately following the conclusion of regular play.
- This championship is a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) counting event.
EXEMPTIONS AWARDED:
- Champion receives the following:
- 10-year exemption into the SCGA Senior Amateur Championship
- 3-year exemption into the California Senior Amateur Championship
- Exemption into current year SCGA Amateur & SCGA Senior Match Play Championships
- Exemption into 2025 SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship
- Top-5 and ties receive the following:
- Exempt into current year SCGA Senior Match Play Championship
- Top-10 and ties receive the following:
- Exempt into current year California Senior Amateur Championship
REGISTRATION:
- All players are invited to Zaidee’s Bar & Grille at Soule Park GC for Happy Hour / Registration on Sunday, June 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Players will receive their tee gifts, a $50 gift card toward Zaidee’s as well as an offering of free appetizers courtesy of Soule Park.
- Registration will also be offered Monday morning beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the SCGA table on the clubhouse patio.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
- For Sunday, June 2, a block of practice round tee times for players only have been reserved from 11:40 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To schedule a practice round in this timeframe, please email Keith Brown at klbrown0310@gmail.com.
- To schedule a practice round on other days/times, contact the golf shop at (805) 646-5633 or book online at souleparkgc.com. Standard rates apply.
- We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
- Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
- Rounds 1 & 2 starting times will range from approx. 7:30 a.m. – 9:40 a.m., off Tee 1 and 10.
- Round 3 starting times will range from 7:30 a.m. to approx. 9:10 a.m. off Tee 1.
- Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive once the preceding group has teed off. Players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.
TEES & YARDAGE:
Various tee boxes will be used throughout the duration of the championship based off Soule Park’s Orange Course Rating/Slope. All yardage/tee boxes in play can be found in the Yardage Information tab located on the Championship Portal.
DRIVING RANGE:
- The driving range will be available by 6:00 a.m. each morning of the championship.
- Range balls will be provided compliments of Soule Park GC and the SCGA.
FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:
- Zaidee’s Bar & Grille will be open by 6:30 a.m. each day.
- The SCGA will provide players only a $50 gift card that may be used at any time at Zaidee’s Bar & Grille.
- Cash & Credit cards will be accepted for all other purchases.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.
- Local Rules and Terms of the Competition can be found on the SCGA Hard Card and the Notice to Players.

GOLF CARTS, PULL/PUSH CARTS:
- Golf carts are optional at the player’s expense during the championship ($20 per player); however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
- There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
- Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
- Pull or push carts are permitted.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
- Players may provide their own caddie (see the section on golf carts).
- Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility.
DRESS CODE:
Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any facility-specific policies.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:
- To withdraw for any reason before the start of an SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
- Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
- Refund Policy:
- Cancelation before the entry closing date: Full refund less a $20 administrative fee.
- Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours before the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
- Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
